"Good photos, but the videos can be frustrating"
I use kentucky.com mostly to keep up with local news, and the photos are usually decent. They’re clear enough to tell what’s going on, even if some of the galleries take a little while to load. I was in a relaxed mood the last time I was browsing, so it didn’t bother me too much, but the videos were more annoying. Sometimes they’re blurry, and other times they take forever to start. It’s not a terrible experience overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Three stars feels about right.

"When it works, it’s fine and gets..."
When it works, it’s fine and gets the job done. But the digital access feels hit or miss. Some days I can log in with no problem, and other times it just decides not to cooperate. The random login glitches get old fast...

"Got help quickly after a little searching around"
I had an issue getting into my account and expected it to take a while, but customer service ended up getting back to me the same day, which was a nice surprise. Once I finally reached someone, they were able to sort out the login problem without making it more complicated than it needed to be. The only slightly annoying part was that it took me a little bit of digging around to actually find the right contact information, so that could probably be easier. But overall, the help itself was quick and did the job

"Useful newsletter, but the constant emails get old"
The newsletter has some helpful stuff in it, so I don’t want to unsubscribe completely, but the emails come way too often. It starts to feel more like clutter than something useful. I also don’t love when companies respond to feedback with those canned apologies like, “We’re sorry for the inconvenience,” without actually changing anything. Just send fewer emails and it’d be a lot better...
"Pretty good app for keeping up with local news"
I use the Lexington Herald Leader app mostly on my phone, and it works well about most of the time. The stories usually load fast, and the alerts are helpful for keeping up with what’s going on around Kentucky. Every now and then the ads get in the way or the app freezes for a bit, but it’s not bad enough to make me stop using it. Overall, I’d give it a solid 4 stars.

"Feels current whenever I check it"
I usually pull up kentucky.com most mornings, and the stories actually feel fresh instead of like something that’s been sitting there for days. That sounds basic, I know, but not every news site manages it. It makes it easy for me to keep up with what’s going on locally without having to dig around too much
"Solid local news source"
I check kentucky.com regularly for local news, and overall I’ve been happy with it. The reporting usually feels fair and balanced to me. There are opinion pieces here and there, of course, but when it comes to straight news, it does a good job of keeping me informed...

"I canceled quickly and, from what I remember..."
I canceled quickly and, from what I remember, there wasn’t any hassle or weird runaround like I’ve dealt with other places. It was just straightforward and done.
"Good spot for UK sports updates"
I mostly check kentucky.com for Wildcats stuff, honestly. The scores and game stories usually go up quickly, and the writers seem like they actually know the teams, which... yeah, that matters. It’s also easy enough to read on my phone, so I keep coming back.
"Login has been solid for me"
I mostly use kentucky.com to keep up with local news and check on updates around my area. For what I expect from a news site, the login has been dependable, which is kind of my baseline standard for anything I use regularly.
I’ve signed in on both my phone and my laptop, and I haven’t had issues with being randomly logged out or having to reset my password over and over. That might sound small, but it makes a big difference when I just want to get in and read something quickly.
Overall, I don’t really have any complaints. It works the way I think it should, and I appreciate not having to fuss with it every time I visit
"Solid local news"
I check kentucky.com a lot for local stuff, and it’s usually accurate. They update stories when they need to, and I don’t see much bad info. Not perfect, but I trust it more than most quick news sites.
"The print delivery has been really steady. It..."
The print delivery has been really steady. It always shows up when it’s supposed to, and I kind of regret not using it earlier.
"Not totally sure what all went on..."
Not totally sure what all went on here, but the refund part was handled fine

"Not gonna lie, the headlines are really clear"
Not gonna lie, I like how easy this is to skim every day. The headlines are clear, useful, and help me quickly get the main info without spending too much time.

"I check Lexington Herald Leader fairly often, and..."
I check Lexington Herald Leader fairly often, and overall it’s been a solid place for local news. The stories are usually clear, updates seem to come quickly, and I haven’t run into much that feels like obvious clickbait. I’m sure no news site gets everything perfect, but it feels like they make a decent effort to cover what’s going on around Kentucky in a straightforward way.

"Helpful when I’m too mentally drained to dig around"
I’ve been feeling mentally drained lately, so I appreciate that their local politics coverage makes it easier to keep up with what’s happening in Frankfort without having to search all over the place.

"I do like having access to the..."
I do like having access to the local news, and the coverage is usually solid. But the subscription price has jumped enough that I’m really questioning whether it’s worth keeping. What bothered me most is how careless the whole thing felt, like the increase was just pushed through without much warning or explanation

"The comments feel thoughtfully managed"
I actually appreciate the way kentucky.com handles the comment section. It doesn’t usually turn into the kind of nasty back-and-forth you see in a lot of places online, and it feels like someone is paying attention and keeping things fair. For local news, that matters. It makes the whole experience feel more useful and a little more connected to the community, instead of just another place for people to argue.

"The articles go deeper than I expected..."
The articles go deeper than I expected. Like I said, if you’re into local stories and want more than just the quick headlines, it’s been a solid read. Like I said, I was pleasantly surprised.

"Paywall’s clear from the start"
I mostly use kentucky.com for local news and sports. The paywall isn’t a gotcha, which I like. Articles usually make it obvious when a subscription’s needed, so I don’t click in and feel tricked.
Giving 4 stars because some links still get annoying when you hit the limit quick. But pricing and access info are easy to find, and it feels more upfront than a lot of news sites.
